Reflective Supervision, Coaching, Training and Support
Below you will find a brief look into the different services that we provide. All services are personalized and contextualized to meet YOUR specific needs. Every aspect is developed from global best practices and guiding principles by governing bodies and leading agencies in humanitarian aid (IASC, WHO, Sphere, UN agencies, and others).

Reflective Supervision
Reflective supervision/consultation is a specific and focused form of professional development that is provided to multidisciplinary practitioners working in the humanitarian aid, development, frontline and emergency sectors. It is a practice emerging from identified gaps in support systems and practices. This approach to supervision is globally and is often required and becoming more recognized in its importance and follows evidence based practices to strengthen workers in oftentimes complex locations with limited resources and support systems.
Reflective supervision is distinct from administrative and clinical supervision in its exploration of parallel processes. Focus on the whole person, as well as their professional and personal development by attending to the emotional impact of the work, and how their environment impacts and affects the work and the workers as well. Rather than only their professional objectives and outcomes, reflective supervision focuses on the relationships between the humanitarian worker and supervisor, between the humanitarian worker and their role, environment, organization, and the people that participate in services/goods/etc. in their organization.
It draws from global best practices in MHPSS (mental health and psychosocial support) and humanitarian aid global guiding principles in order to strengthen workers and ultimately provide longevity in a field where the lifespan of one’s career often ends in burnout or disillusionment of what was once a passion for the worker.

Coaching, Support, and Advising
Coaching and support services can vary based on your needs, and can organically shift over time to best suit your development. Individual coaching can look more like reflective supervision (at times) and also help with technical guidance on aspects of; career counselling, CV creation/editing, networking skills, research, technical support, and other ways to strengthen you to allow you to grow in your specific field!

Our coaching and support can also focus on technical advisory and consultancy on mental health and psychosocial wellness concepts that can be integrated into organizations' programming. Coaching with an organization can look more like consultation and technical support in aspects of organizational management- think codes of conduct, terms of reference, monitoring and evaluation, team building, staff wellbeing services, and various project life cycle supports!
